1Th 4:13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Th 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Two things that irritate me the most!

1.  Preachers and leaders in the church who speak in front of the church and say “Mrs Jones passed away.  But we know she is in heaven right now with our Lord and Savior.”   Ummm.. what?? I have heard this many many times and it always upsets me.. I don’t see anywhere in the above verse or in the bible that says we go to heaven automatically.  I have always told any child that the person’s soul is sleeping and when Jesus Christ returns we will all meet in the air on the way to heaven.. am I reading this wrong?? Is there something in the bible that I am missing??

2.  I took Annaleah to junior church on Sunday as I had nursery and brought the nursery kids in there also for a Christmas Party.  As I listened to the story, the teacher said.  “Jesus was born on Christmas Day” and for some reason, it hit me hard, and I was upset.  Telling my child a lie!  I always tell my children, “We celebrate Jesus’ birthday on Christmas” and if they ask questions, I explain we don’t know when he was born exactly.. So that is the day the people chose to celebrate.

So now I realize.. no wonder David is having a problem with faith right now.  What else has he been lied to about?  I remember when he was about 4 years old and one sunday school teacher was telling the story about Jonah.  The kids asked her how Jonah got out of the whale, and she told them that maybe the whale spit him out.  David raised his hand and said, “He vomited him.”  She didn’t believe him and looked it up..

Jonah 2:10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

Now I understand making mistakes and she did go and look it up.. and then admitted that David was right.  Then she came and told me about it.  I was so proud of David for remembering and standing up for what he remembered.

Comments?? I would love comments.. what does everyone else think?  Have you had similar experiences.. Is there a verse somewhere I am missing?? Please point them out to me if I am missing something..

Yesterday turned into quite an interesting day.. Annaleah scared me to death.  ugh.  Last night, I went to check on the chickens and replace their icy water.  Annaleah wanted to follow with me.. but I just wanted to go quickly.. I hate the cold and snow.  It is pretty, but I don’t want to be in it at all.  So I load up on coat, gloves etc.. and go.  While tending the chickens, I thought I heard a cry.. now let me tell you, it is really dark at night here.  The guy in the back has a back yard light.. but it is quite a distance.. So I looked toward our deck and saw nothing.. so I continued what I was doing,  After a  little bit, I heard screaming.. So I looked again (btw – I am hard of hearing and wear two aids).. nothing.. but I took a long look and finally saw her form, standing in the middle of the snow quite a distance from me.. I left everything and ran to her.. she was wearing sneakers, which did nothing to protect her from the snow, her pj’s and gloves.. the gate was open so she had walked from the front of the house to the back yard.. I ran her in the house and immediately stripped her and put warm jammies on.. Abe went out to finish the job.. I  had to sit and comfort Anna for a bit.. She has never left this house before without us..

I went to check on the chicks this morning.. They tried to venture outside.. but I don’t think they like the snow much.. lol.. they went back into their coop and got cozy again.

I managed to wrap quite a few gifts last night.. so that is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.  Let’s see what I manage to accomplish today..

On Sunday, I was invited to a La Leche Leader’s home to bake.  Her daughter is allergic to wheat so she buys huge bulks of tapico, potato, rice, flours.. I am off to go eat an english muffin we made.. I so miss eating bread and I can’t wait to get the cookbooks she suggested..

gone for now

Well.. it is only 5 days til Christmas, and I am spending my entire morning trying to get these cards out.. soo not good.  I don’t know why I do this to myself every year.. ugh.. We finally got all our shopping done.. Yeah!!  It has been hectic around here so I have been busy.  I do see it getting any better this week either.  Oh well.

Ok.. enough rambling.. need to get these cards finished..

Last night

11:30pm: went to bed,

Somewhere between 12:30 – 1am,  hubby comes in, moves anna to her mat and climbs in bed.. something is wrong with my cpap mask.. have to fix it

5:00am Hubby wakes me up.. says it’s anna, I look over and she is whining, wants her cup.. so I go get it, come back, she is sound asleep.. ugh, I go back to bed

5:45 alarm goes off.. hit snooze

5:52 alarm goes off.. hit snooze

5:59 alarm goes off.. hit snooze

606 alarm goes off.. hit snooze

6:13 alarm goes off.. get up and go to the bathroom, notice anna is awake and staring at me.. drinking her cup, I get dressed and tell her,I will be back (usually works) .. “NOOOO! I WANNA GO!.. ok.. I gather her, her cup, blanket, and pillow.. and bring them to the couch.  I turn on Calliou.. she is happy..

Typical night.. yeah..

may need more time depending on thickness..

paint your cutouts

Look at the ones that I did

have Mommy or Daddy help with the hard stuff

Then put them on your tree!

Boy, That was fun!

A few pics to share.. I had decided to get Annaleah a little 5.00 tree that she absolutely adores.. she decorated it (with my help of course) and we made a star to put on top..

Look at all that hair.. I am amazed at how it is growning

gotta love those eyes

Putting her star on her tree

I love watching her concentrate

Now she is proud..

Annaleah also helped me set up our little village.. she did a great job.

Oh yes.. Abraham.. susiefan has brought it to my attention that I have not mentioned him.. ooops

Abraham, Angel’s brother is staying with us for a while.. It has been nice to have someone here.. he is set up in the basement with his computer and things.. He has also been a help around the house.  This is the one I posted a picture of last year, when he stayed for a week.. Annaleah has given him the title.. Uncle Ham.

Well, my computer is bogged down and needs some serious work done.. So my plan is to uninstall and go through every single file I have on here.. then on saturday angel will uninstall windows and reformat my main drive.. and put in my cd burner.. whoo hoo..

The bogging started when someone decided my computer needed a windows update.. well.. guess what.. this machine, can’t handle it.. ugh..
